Solidarity Arts Fellowship reflection
“The fellowship has shown me not only the incredible need for relationship building and solidarity efforts, but all the love and joy that is produced as a result of these connections. I feel forever grateful to the VL community for creating this space and fostering meaningful reflections, arts practice, and community care.”
Object of resilience
“I am holding my Nisei grandfather’s written work “To Live: Hope for the Dying.” He passed before I was born so reading these words makes me feel intimately grounded with him and all my JA ancestors. I’d like to imagine his resilience as a constant force that pushes up through me as well. “
